Creating a Business Partner

This topic describes the procedure to create a business partner for a value chain model.

A value chain model (VCM) is made up of VCM components that include:

• Business Partners and
• Business Partner Categories

A business partner can be a supplier, customer, service provider, or any other entity with which a company has a business relationship.

1. Select a starting point and select (Business Partner) to create a business partner. The Untitled Business Partner- Business Partner window appears.
2. Click the General tab and type the required information in the following fields:
   1. Type name of the contact person who represents the business partner company in the Contact Person field.
   2. Type the address of business partner company in the Address field.
   3. Type the caption of the business partner company if any, in the Logo field.
3. Click the Annotation tab and type additional notes or comments on the business partner, if any.
4. Click on the toolbar. The new business partner is added to the project content tree in the Workspace Documents.

You have successfully created a business partner.
